CONTINUING PROJECTS
The El Cerrito Garden Club selects projects that stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs, aid in the protection of native trees, plants, and birds; and encourage civic planting.
- Collect Penny Pine donations for U.S. Forest Service Reforestation Program
- Sponsor Sundar Shadi Garden Beautification contest for non-members with prizes awarded
- Propagate and sell plants at citywide event in El Cerrito, and at Monthly Meetings
- Exhibit flower arrangements by members at Monthly Meetings
- Celebrate Arbor Day by planting trees in El Cerrito
- Coordinate planting and maintenance of El Cerrito Civic Beautification Projects
- Blue Star Memorial
- El Cerrito Senior Center
- Memorial Grove
- Host garden-related trips annually
- Sell calendars at Monthly meetings
- Decorate El Cerrito Community Center holiday tree
- Provide holiday floral designs for Shields Nursing Home
